First dance inspiration
“We’re getting married, but we have no idea what we want our first dance song to be.” A phrase we hear all the time.
Here are a few things to consider when picking your first dance song.
Do you want a first dance. It’s not for every couple. If it’s not your thing then we’ve got a couple of alternative suggestions:
Do your speeches on the dance floor instead of during dinner - that way, the last speech giver can introduce the band and get everyone hyped.
Organise a group dance - at your hen, stag or joint celebration, you could organise a dance class, that way, you can relive the fun memories of the hen/stag and you have a fun thing to get the party started.
Get your band to lead a group dance - this is not something that every band offers, but WE DO! Our lead singer Nora is also a dance teacher so can lead your wedding party in a group dance. You could start your party with Candy, Cha Cha Slide, Macarena or Nora could lead your guests in an easy simple routine to a song of your choice.
Do you want your first dance to be played live or MP3. Reasons why you may want MP3 are:
If you’re doing a choreographed dance that you’ve practiced to the MP3
If you want it to be the original version of the song
Reasons why you may want it played live are:
You want the emotion that playing it live can evoke
You want a different version than the original song and want it to be unique to your wedding
